先前在日本東京曾發生一名女性在接受雷射手術過程中突然放屁，排放出的氣體與雷射光束接觸後竟意外引發火勢，導致她嚴重燒傷。近日一名日本網友竟異想天開實測用「放屁吹蠟燭」，沒想到卻差點引爆菊花，驚險萬分。
一名日本網友在推特上分享了一段影片，影片中可見，他躺在地上，並在桌上擺了4個燃燒中的蠟燭，他抬起雙腳，屁股朝著燃燒中的蠟燭醞釀許久，欲使用放屁的氣體將蠟燭吹熄，不料正當他瞄準燭火「噴發」的那一瞬間，火苗不僅並未熄滅，甚至延燒至他的屁股，該名網友嚇得趕緊拍打滅火，逗趣舉動笑翻一票網友。
其原因是因腸道內所產生的氣體，約有五成的比例為可燃的氫氣和甲烷，因此才會助長火勢，所幸該名網友反應夠敏捷，才未釀成「引爆菊花」的窘境。對此網友們紛紛表示，「求心裡陰影面積」、「看影片同時替他感到慌張」、「哈哈哈哈哈對不起忍不住笑了」。
